March has come in like a lamb with perfect weather in the 70's. I hope that when I get to Roma (Rome for all you non-Italian speakers) it will be the same. I am looking for clear skies, balmy days and cool nights. All the research I have seen suggests that May is the perfect month to visit Italy, before the onslaught of the hot, humid summers. My fingers are crossed.
I have started my readings about Italian History. Sounds like a very proud nation. Kings, queens, intrigue, murder, popes, gelato, all the makings for a great book. (not the gelato part, I just threw that in to see if you were listening. lol) Actually, every country's history is unique. I love Europe because their culture is so different than ours and so much more, oh I don't know, do I dare say, interesting. Of course, we are a young nation of only a couple of hundred years under our belts, where as Europe has thousands. But I can see I am rambling.....
I am just so excited that in a couple of months I will be there! Viva Roma! Stay tuned.....
amore,
Kerry
